The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance rejected the CHP lawyers’ request to dismiss the case regarding the appointment of a trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Directorate. The court stated that the trustee decision would be reevaluated between sessions and postponed the hearing to February 27. In the case, the lawyer representing the party requesting the cancellation of the congress requested that the allegations in the indictments against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Aziz Ihsan Aktaş be added to the case file. The court rejected the objection to jurisdiction and ruled that the case would be heard within its own jurisdiction; some defendants withdrew from the case, and it was decided that all documents related to the congress would be requested from the district election boards. CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik stated that they had filed an individual application with the Constitutional Court regarding the case, noting that the process violated constitutional rights.
