The “Statutory Decree (KHK) victims Great Meeting” organised on October 5-6, 2019 by public officers previously dismissed with Statutory Decrees at Ankara Yılmaz Güney Hall was banned by Ankara Governorate. The meeting was going to host the Saturday Mothers as well as MPs as speakers besides those dismissed with KHKs. People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Kocaeli MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, who is among the organisers, wrote on social media: “The political power once again preferred unlawfulness. The political power aimed at violating the Constitutional rights of society. Why are you so scared of the revelation of unlawfulness and disobedience against the law…”
