The Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) affiliated with the Turkish Football Federation has issued a referral decision regarding Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Kulübü and its player Çekdar Orhan. In its statement, the PFDK said that the club and Çekdar Orhan were referred to the PFDK in accordance with Article 42 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations on the grounds of “ideological propaganda” during the Amedspor-Adana Demirspor match played at Diyarbakır Stadium on February 1, 2026. It was noted that Çekdar Orhan went to the stands after scoring a goal and performed a “hair braiding” gesture. The gesture was stated to be part of solidarity campaigns launched following the killing of a woman from the YPJ in North and East Syria.
