Cemre N., one of the 95 people detained during the intervention against a group protesting the attacks on Rojava in Istanbul’s Aksaray district, recounted her experiences to bianet. Cemre N. stated that they were held on a bus for hours with their hands cuffed behind their backs, were not given water or food, and were subjected to physical and verbal abuse. Cemre N. stated that they were handcuffed behind their backs and beaten during the detention, and that she objected to the presence of police officers in the room during her hospital examination. It was reported that the detentions lasted approximately 12 hours.
