The trial of journalist Alican Uludağ on charges of “publicly insulting the President,” “publicly disseminating misleading information” and “publicly degrading judicial bodies” was heard at Ankara 57th Criminal Court of First Instance. The prosecutor sought a prison sentence of up to 19 years 6 months. Uludağ requested that the Directorate of Communications be asked whether his post titled “The black propaganda mechanism between the judiciary and the Palace” was false and that it be clarified which posts the President had complained about. The court decided to send a written inquiry to the Directorate of Communications and adjourned the case until 22 December.
