In the Kırklareli Gezi Park Case with 230 defendants, the local court issued the acquittal of all defendants for the second time. In the case at Kırklareli 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance, the defendants were prosecuted due to violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations with the demonstrations they participated in between June 1-17, 2013. The decree of “acquittal” previously issued by the local court had been reversed by the 16th Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation with procedural reasons.
