Organizations working in the field of press and freedom of expression announced last week that access to a total of 39 social media accounts belonging to 32 publishers had been blocked. It was reported that 23 of the blocked accounts belonged to journalists and 16 to agencies and press organizations. It was stated that access to the accounts of numerous media outlets, including Mezopotamya Agency, Jinnews, ETHA, and Yeni Yaşam, had been blocked. The statement emphasized that the blocked accounts had a total of 640,000 followers and 232 million views, highlighting that the measure constituted censorship of press freedom.
