On January 13, magistrates’ courts blocked access to numerous news stories published on the Kısa Dalga website. The Information and Communication Technologies Authority communicated the blocking requests via emails containing only the decision numbers, without sharing the full text of the court decisions. The decisions blocked access to news stories about corruption allegations, money laundering cases, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality investigation, and certain public order and entertainment content. Kısa Dalga stated that the measure violated press and freedom of expression.
