Following investigations coordinated by the Communications Directorate, access to 93 social media accounts was blocked on May 26. The General Directorate of Security’s Department of Combating Cybercrime and the public prosecutor’s offices accused the accounts of disrupting public order and posting defamatory content. Authorities have launched criminal investigations against the account holders.
