Boğaziçi University academic Volkan Çıdam announced that he was not reappointed despite meeting all the appointment criteria.
He stated that the decision was unjustified and politically motivated.
Çıdam, who has been working at the university for more than ten years, said that his teaching on human rights and democratic values was targeted.
“I did not submit to authoritarianism. The decision is arbitrary and political,” Çıdam said and announced that she would initiate legal proceedings.
