Nine lawsuits filed against Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu due to “insulting the President” will be merged into a single file. Kılıçdaroğlu’s lawyer Celal Çelik stated on his social media account that the case at the Van 4th Criminal Court of First Instance was sent to Ankara with a decision of lack of jurisdiction.
Çelik announced that the case at Ankara 25th High Criminal Court will be merged, and therefore they will not be able to attend the hearing on October 17. He said the cases filed in Van, Adana, Mersin and Istanbul will also be merged with the case in Ankara. Kılıçdaroğlu was quoted as saying, “We will not give up defending justice even if 99 lawsuits are filed, not 9.”
