Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on January 6 that 223 suspects had been arrested in operations carried out in many provinces over the past 20 days targeting FETÖ. Yerlikaya stated that 87 of the suspects had been detained and that 50 individuals had been placed under judicial control. It was stated that the operations targeted individuals alleged to have been active within the organization’s secret structures, used ByLock, and provided financial support to the organization.
