The CHP High Disciplinary Board expelled 48 people from the party, including Aylin Nazlıaka, İlhan Cihaner and Selin Sayek Böke. Those expelled also included Gül Çiftçi, Kerim Rota, Sevgi Kılıç and Serkan Özcan. The board did not impose disciplinary sanctions on former Bitlis Provincial Chair Metin Güzelkaya or Party Council member Ozan Varal. During the disciplinary process, the party leadership considered allegations that some members had worked in favor of other political formations. CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı had previously said that campaigning on behalf of another party was incompatible with the responsibilities of party membership.
