Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, an operation was organized in Istanbul-based Ankara, Gaziantep, Rize and Tokat against suspects who allegedly received bribes in exchange for forging documents. 46 suspects were arrested in the operation. After the procedures at the police station were completed, 44 people and 1 person in prison were referred to the courthouse. The court issued an arrest warrant for 23 people. The suspects are alleged to have damaged public institutions by taking bribes through the equivalency procedures of foreign students and core reports. 2 suspects are reportedly on the run abroad.
