22 detention orders in FETÖ investigation within the Land Forces

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued simultaneous arrest warrants for 22 suspects in 9 provinces centered in Ankara as part of its investigation into FETÖ’s “secret structure” within the Army Command. According to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office statement, the suspects were identified on the grounds that they communicated with the organization’s “civilian imams” via prepaid landlines located in cafes, grocery stores, and markets in various districts of Ankara. Among the suspects are 5 serving officers (colonel, captain, first lieutenant), three active non-commissioned officers, two dismissed officers, four retired officers, two retired non-commissioned officers, two dismissed non-commissioned officers, three active civil servants (engineers and teachers), and one private sector employee. Teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department’s Counterterrorism Branch initiated detention procedures in 9 provinces as of November 18, 2025, and continued operations as part of the investigation.
