The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office conducted a new operation on December 27 as part of its corruption investigation into the Bayrampaşa Municipality. Four people were detained in the operation, including Remzi Albayrak, Head of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and Deputy Secretary General. Meanwhile, the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued detention orders for 11 people, including former CHP Izmir Provincial Chairman Şenol Aslanoğlu, in connection with allegations of “embezzlement” involving the S.S.
