Demirtaş is on trial with the charges, “terrorist organization management,” “making terrorist organization propaganda,” “violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations,” “public incitement towards resentment and hostility,” “public provocation to disobey the law,” “incitement towards committing offenses” and “praising the offense and the offender.” Demirtaş stated that he is on trial due to the meetings he held in Imralı and Qandil within the “Resolution Process” and that he is on trial due to his statements; and that the Prosecutors have opened an investigation to ask account for the defeat of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the elections on June 7th.
