Malatya 3rd Assize Court announced the decree on the “Şenyaşar Family Case”. The court sentenced Fadıl Şenyaşar, who lost his father and two siblings in the incident in Suruç, to 37 years and nine months of imprisonment and sentenced the brother of Justice and Development Party (AKP) Parliament Member Enver Yıldız to 18 years of imprisonment. The investigation on the claim that father Esvet Şenyaşar was killed in the hospital was not included in the case file. The clashes happened on June 14, 2018 as AKP Urfa Parliament Member İbrahim Halil Yıldız, his guards and relatives were visiting shop owners in the region.
