The staging of play, Taranta Babu, adapted by Oyun Sandalı to theater from the poem of Nâzım Hikmet, “Taranta – Letters to Babu” was prevented in Erzincan. Theater actress Cansu Fırıncı announced on social media that the stage assignment made for July 24th was cancelled by Erzincan Muftiate without showing any reasons. “Our play, which ‘passed’ the strict monitoring and examination of the Associations Desk and Erzincan Security Directorate, was found ‘inappropriate’ by the muftiate this time. The stage is apparently so full every day that they had to cancel the assigned date!” Fırıncı wrote on social media. The staging of play, Taranta Babu, was previously prevented by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Amasya Municipality due to being “political.”
