Diyarbakır 2nd Criminal Judgeship of Peace ordered a ban on the printing, distribution and sale and the recall of 12 books and magazines, including issue 37 of Jineolojî magazine titled “Women and Peace.” The decision was issued upon the prosecutor’s request regarding publications seized during a raid on a citizen’s home in the Çınar district of Diyarbakır in July. The judgeship cited allegations of “organization propaganda” and use of the word “Kurdistan” in the publications. The banned publications included the books “Kalbimin Hikayesi,” “Hakikat ve Özgürlük,” “Kürt Mahşeri,” “Yöntem ve Hakikat Rejimi,” “Tarih Oluşmanın Zamanıdır” and “Paradigmanın Tarihsel İnşası,” published by Aram Yayınevi; the Jineolojî Academy book “Bingehê Dîrokî û Siberoja Şoreşa Jinê”; İrfan Karaca’s “Apê Musa’nın Küçük Generalleri”; and issues 50, 53 and 55 of Demokratik Modernite magazine. Lawyer Resul Tamur said they would appeal the recall and ban order to a higher court.
