A group seeking to protest the “Ailem Güvende” operations gathered outside Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse. Police prevented the press statement, surrounded the group and intervened after ordering them to disperse. A total of 106 people were detained, including BirGün reporter Sarya Toprak and ARD reporter Şener Azak. The detainees were taken to the Gayrettepe Public Order Branch, Küçükçekmece Narcotics Branch and Istanbul Provincial Police Department.
