Former Cihan News Agency reporter Osman Arslan was arrested in an investigation by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office into footage of Kaşif Kozinoğlu arriving at the courthouse in 2011. Arslan was arrested on charges of “membership in an organization established to commit crimes” and “disclosing prohibited information for the purpose of political or military espionage.” In the same investigation, former prison director Ömer Vatan and shift supervisor Kazım Beyke were placed under judicial control, while ambulance driver Süleyman Kaba was released. It was stated that Arslan had carried out the news coverage under investigation in 2011 while working alongside many other journalists.
