Private-sector teachers and unappointed teachers who challenged interview results held a press statement outside the Treasury and Finance Ministry. After the statement, police blocked teachers who tried to march to the Education Ministry and detained at least 49 people, including mothers of teachers. After their release, the teachers gathered again outside the Private Sector Teachers’ Union and repeated their demands for a minimum salary standard and appointments.
