On April 27, the Ministry of the Interior launched an investigation into Ayaş District Governor Muharrem Eligül and removed him from office. The ministry assigned a civil service inspector to investigate his social media posts and reassigned Eligül to the legal advisory office of the Edirne Governor’s Office.
