As part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office into the Uşak Municipality, a new operation was carried out on April 20. Police detained 25 people, including municipal employees and businesspeople, on charges of bribery and bid-rigging. The mayor and several other officials had previously been arrested as part of the investigation.
