An investigation is ongoing into the death of Kadir Coşkun, who was 71% hearing impaired and suffered from COPD, shortly after his release from the T-type open prison in Ödemiş Kaymakçı, İzmir. His family stated that he did not receive medical care in prison and that the necessary referrals were not made, and demanded that those responsible be brought to justice. Despite a year having passed since the incident, the indictment has not yet been prepared.
