ANKA Editor-in-Chief Kenan Şener and four others, who were detained due to a live broadcast from the vicinity of Incirlik Air Base, were released on March 2, 2026, under judicial supervision with a ban on leaving the country and a requirement to sign in once a week. The prosecutor’s office had launched an investigation under the Military Restricted Areas and Security Zones Law No. 2565 on the grounds that the broadcast contained images related to military facilities.
