The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) announced that it will request YouTube to block access to TELE2 Haber if it fails to apply for a license within 72 hours. Tuncay Keser, a member of RTÜK representing the Republican People’s Party (CHP), stated that the Council had decided on a “dual license” for TELE2 Haber. Keser recalled that Fatih Altaylı, Flu TV, Cumhuriyet TV, and BirGün TV had also been given time to apply for a license. TELE2 Haber was founded by journalists who resigned after a trustee was appointed to TELE1 on October 24, 2025, and has been broadcasting live on YouTube.
