The Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office determined that the accommodation and meal expenses of 16 Court of Accounts auditors conducting an audit at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality were covered by the municipality. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued a decision of incompetence and sent the file on the auditors to the Presidency of the Court of Accounts. Within the scope of the same investigation, it was determined that irregular expenditures were made at ALDAŞ A.Ş., affiliated with the municipality, causing a public loss of 399 million 507 thousand TL. In this context, proceedings were initiated against 18 suspects, and 14 people were taken into custody. Muhittin Böcek, the detained Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, was also listed as a suspect in the case.
