The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued arrest warrants on January 14 for three defendants released in a case concerning the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality’s concert expenditures between 2021 and 2024. The prosecution appealed the decision after the Ankara 34th Heavy Penal Court released five defendants under judicial supervision. The Ankara 35th Heavy Penal Court, which reviewed the appeal, decided that Selahattin Çelikkaya, Onur Evren, and Hacı Ali Bozkurt should be retried in custody. Arrest warrants were issued for the defendants.
