Three people were detained in raids on their homes on the morning of January 12 for participating in a protest against the attacks on Aleppo in Diyarbakır. Police detained Hayat Özmez, a member of the Sur Municipal Council of the DEM Party, along with Baran Çınar and Roza Baki. The reason for the detention was stated to be their participation in a protest held in Diyarbakır the previous day. Those detained were taken to the police station.
