The 9th hearing of the retrial of journalist Perihan Kaya on charges of “making organization propaganda” was held on December 24 at the Diyarbakır 10th Heavy Penal Court. At the hearing, the prosecutor presented an opinion in favor of Kaya’s punishment. The court postponed the decision hearing to January 7. Kaya had previously been sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison on the same case for “organization propaganda” but was acquitted of the “organization membership” charge.
