The second hearing of the trial of journalist Ender İmrek, who is being prosecuted on charges of “membership in an organization” as part of the investigation into the Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK), was held at the Istanbul 23rd Heavy Penal Court. The court sent the case file concerning Ender İmrek and six other defendants, including lawyer Yıldız İmrek, to the prosecutor’s office for the preparation of the opinion on the merits. The prosecutor’s office requested the continuation of judicial control measures. The court rejected the request to lift the ban on leaving the country. The trial was postponed until April 15, 2026.
