DEM Party Toroslar District Organization building was attacked with stones on the night of October 15. The attacker was caught and detained by the intervention of neighborhood residents. While no one was injured in the incident, material damage was caused to the building. DEM Party Mersin Provincial Co-Chair Bedriye Kuş stated that the attack was directed against the democratic will of the peoples and the culture of coexistence and said, “We want those who planned the attack and those behind it to be revealed.”
