Within the scope of the investigation coordinated by Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, a detention warrant was issued for 42 suspects in operations against FETÖ’s military-extremist organization. Thirty-five people were detained in a simultaneous operation in 16 cities centered in Izmir on September 30. Seven of the suspects were identified as fugitives abroad. After the procedures at the police and gendarmerie, 12 of 35 suspects were sent to the courthouse and 12 of them were arrested while 23 were released, 4 of them on judicial control conditions.
