Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office into the crimes of “bribery” and “qualified fraud”, a simultaneous operation was organized in Istanbul-based Ankara, Gaziantep, Rize and Tokat.
It was determined that 1 suspect wanted in the investigation was in prison and 2 suspects were abroad. Of the 47 people detained, 3 were released from the police.
After the police procedures were completed, 44 suspects were referred to Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after a health check. The prosecutor’s office sent 24 suspects to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for arrest and 20 suspects with a request for judicial control.
The court ruled for the arrest of 23 people and judicial control for 21 people.
