BirGün newspaper reporter İsmail Arı announced that he was threatened by the Şahinler gang and that his family was targeted. Arı shared the threatening messages on his social media account and said, “If something happens to me, the ones responsible are the Security and Interior Ministry officials who do not touch this gang.”
Arı had previously stated that he had been threatened following his news report on Gökhan Göz, who is linked to the Şahinler gang, and that he had applied to the Security Police but had not received any response. In his latest post, he emphasized that he was being followed and that threats against his family continued.
