Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made statements about Grok, the artificial intelligence tool integrated into the social media platform X. “There is no access block for now, but if it continues like this, we will ban it if necessary,” Uraloğlu said.

An investigation was initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office after Grok responded insulting to many people, including Erdoğan and Atatürk. The Prosecutor’s Office announced that access blocking decisions were taken regarding the content.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that Grok used “unspeakable swear words” and said, “This is software. It works in whatever way you authorize. More than 50 content removal requests were sent to X. If it is not implemented, the necessary action will be taken.”

Stating that a statement was requested from the X platform, Uraloğlu said, “Insult under the name of freedom of expression is unacceptable.”
