Former News Director of Nokta Magazine, İsmail Evren was sentenced to 6 years and three months of imprisonment due to “armed terrorist organisation membership” after being arrested due to “FETÖ membership” on January 4, 2019. Istanbul 29th Assize Court issued Evren’s release, considering the time the journalist spent under arrest.
