The Constitutional Court (AYM) decided for the “right to life” and the “right to organise meeting and demonstration” of high school student Abidin C., who was injured in the eye with a tear gas shell shot by the police during a protest demonstration against the construction of a mosque in Ankara, were violated. The high court issued 50 thousand TL compensation to be paid to the student, deciding that the investigation on the matter must restart.
