An investigation was started against journalist Oktay Candemir due to a post he made, where he explained the HDP provincial congress in a satirical language. Candemir faced 26 lawsuits within the last two years. In the investigation, the journalist is charged with “insulting Erdoğan” due to the post that stated, “As President Erdoğan watched the excited crowd during the HDP Congress,” with photos of President Erdoğan and the HDP Congress.
