4 musicians, who were playing Kurdish music on Istiklal Street, were subjected to verbal and physical violence by the police, who said, “This square, this place, everywhere is my territory. You can’t do it”, and their instruments were confiscated. Selim Öztürk, one of the detained musicians, said that he and 3 of his friends were fined due to “disturbing the surroundings”.
