The application of former Zaman Daily columnist Ali Bulaç at the European Court of Human Rights on his arrest was concluded. The court decided that Bulaç’s “right to freedom and safety” as well as his “right to freedom of expression” were violated. Turkey was sentenced to pay 12.240 Euros of compensation to Bulaç.
