Community Centers Central Executive Board (MYK) member Kutay Meriç was acquitted in the first hearing of the lawsuit filed against him due to ‘terrorist organization propaganda.’ Meriç was taken into custody on February 13 in Antalya and was later arrested on February 20 due to ‘making terrorist organization propaganda’ by sharing the statement of the Community Centers with the title, “Afrin war is the war for the construction of dictatorship.” He was later released on February 28 following the objection made against his arrest.
Labout Party (EMEP) members Fatma Gün and Erdinç Kırova were acquitted in the first hearing of the lawsuit against them as well at Balıkesir 3rd Assize Court due to their social media posts on the Afrin operation of the Turkish Armed Forces.
