TELE1’s screen was blacked out after RTÜK issued a 5-day fine.
The Ankara 23rd Administrative Court had canceled the stay of execution on August 27. As a result, TELE1 will not be able to broadcast for 5 days starting September 1.
Many people reacted to the decision. DİSK Basın-İş visited TELE1 Ankara Representative Office and sent a message of solidarity. “We will continue to stand by TELE1 and its workers against repression and censorship”
