Despite the fact that the “Peace Academics” were acquitted of the cases against which they were tried, the State of Emergency Procedures Monitoring Committee began to successively reject the reinstatement applications of the academics. Many academics announced on their social media accounts that their applications for reinstatement were rejected. Academics for Peace have first been targeted by the ruling politicians, after the text they published on January 10, 2016, about the human rights violations that occurred during the curfews declared in Kurdish provinces, and then they have been dismissed from their duties with the issued decrees.
