Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu posted on social media yesterday about the police violence at Boğaziçi University. Afterwards, the Istanbul Governorate launched a list of identified gathering areas in the province. Thus, it was banned to gather anywhere other than the areas identified by the Governorate. Right before the protest organised in Kadıköy for the detained and arrested students, the District Governorate banned all meetings and demonstrations across the district for the next seven days.
