Sezin Uçar, Deputy Co-Chair of ESP and a lawyer, was detained at Istanbul Airport on April 13, 2026, upon her return from abroad. She was arrested on April 15 by the court to which she was referred on charges of “membership in an armed terrorist organization,” on the grounds that there was a risk of her fleeing or concealing evidence. Uçar stated that the charges against her were baseless.
