Saturday Mothers, who ask the states of their lost children, spouses and siblings under custody since 1995 with meetings at Taksim Galatasaray Square, are meeting for the 700th time on August 25th.
Speaking in the video prepared for this meeting, Hayrettin Eren’s mother Elman Eren, Ferhat Tepe’s mother Zübeyde Tepe, Hasan Ocak’s mother Emine Ocak, Mehmet Şirin Maltu’s mother Sabriyet Maltu are explaining their long-time fight to find their children after they were lost under custody, calling everyone to meet them in the 700th week. The poster prepared for the meeting states, “My resistance did not decrease after 700 weeks, my carnation did not wither, my wait did not end, my longing did not diminish, my hope did not die, my belief did not end.”
