Merdan Yanardağ’s words “Alevis have many traitors” on TELE1 drew reaction. RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin characterized the statements as “hate speech” and announced that action would be taken under Law No. 6112. Yanardağ stated that he corrected his words in the program.
